Christmas 2006
Christmas 2006 and I was the host. I prepared the turkey and I did it the old fashioned way - basting that turkey every 30 minutes and boy did it taste good in the end – if I do say so myself. We started off the morning with Chris and I unwrapping of gifts in our stockings. Mom and Dad showed up for our traditional breakfast and hot cocoa then we exchanged gifts between the four of us. Chris got his Star Wars Collection on dvd now and can stop trying to take Brandon’s. That afternoon Grandpa and Grandma, Curt, Bruce, Greg, Jean and Matthew showed up for Christmas lunch and to open gifts.
Saturday Christmas w/ Grammy
Saturday we celebrated Christmas w/ Grammy, Curtis and all. Sherry, Thomas, Ashley and Russell drove up from Alabama. Debbie and Dylan flew in from California. Mom, Dad, Brandon, Chris and I drove up from Rock Hill. Of course we all got great gifts and had lots of fun. Grammy got her special gift from her girls and me - a brand new computer, monitor and printer and boy was she surprised! Of course when we are all together we have to take the family photo.Christmas w/ the Myers
Well we ended Christmas day as well as are Christmas Saturday w/ the Myers. Zeus came over to help open gifts on Christmas. While Saturday Charlotte and Adrian brought over their new addition Zoey (also a great dane) who enjoy naps in everyone's lap-Chris just happen to be the 1st. Of course the kids enjoyed opening and playing w/ their gifts but we finally got them to pose together for a picture.Graduated
Well I’m half way there…I now have my Associate’s in Accounting (that’s me and Val). Karen (pictured w/ boyfriend Patrick) got her Bachelor’s in Forensics with a minor in Graphical Design. Laura (pictured to the bottom left w/ her husband Brian and kids Allison and Myles) has her Associate’s in Nursing.Oh...Isn't She Loverly
Oh Yeah! Check out our new tv…61” of beautiful HD quality and of course my Carolina Panther, John Kasey is pictured as he is about to kick a field goal to score some points for our team this year.
Cruising Again
Well we are off cruising again and went with some friends. Lake Wylie got a group together so we tagged along with Alexis, Bobbie and Tater Tot onto a Carnival Cruise boat called the Celebration. We left from Jacksonville, FL on Sat. Nov 4th. We started with a day at sea, then stopped at Key West and then continued to Nassau Bahamas and finished up with a recovery day at sea on the way back home. We had fun but it’s back to the reality. Unfortunately these are the only pictures I was able to recover due to problems with my 35mm.
Hatfield McCoy WV
Well off we go for another ATV adventure. This time we decided to go up to the Hatfield McCoy Trails in WV. Mom, Dad and Brandon came along pulling the pop-up while Chris and I towed the toys. We rode all day Saturday and boy did we get MUDDY! It’s a great trail system – besides the mud holes – and though we almost got stuck a couple of times it made the day so much more fun – wondering every time we went through a mud puddle if it would be the last time we see our ATVs running again. What made this place so great is you can ride your ATVs into town just don't forget to use your hand signals. We left on one side of the mountain got to another town when we reached the other side - had some Hardee's and filled up our tanks - and headed back over the mountain.
ATV'ing in TN
Well our 1st real adventure on the ATV's was pretty exciting. We drove up to Windrock Mountain's in TN and the scenery was beautiful but the trails were R-O-C-K-Y! I got stuck going over a mini boulder and Chris had to take the reins and force it over and just when I though I had enough fun for one trip we have to do a rock climb to get out of this valley we are now stuck in. Chris did great but I got scared/stuck half way up and had to dig out the tow ropes and hook up to his ATV to climb the rest of the way. Oh well, maybe those trails were just a little to advanced for me but hey I got a sticker that says, "I survived Windrock Mountain".
